Since the phone is locked, I have no way to call Verizon Support. ![]() The only way to unlock the phone now is to enter a PUK code, which Verizon does not give you when you buy your phone. ![]() I entered (read: tried to create) a password twice, and BAM. There will be a link that says Personal Unblocking Key. Once you log in, click HTC ThunderBolt (should be under your phone number). Keep your account in good standing for at least 60 days. it already has a default password, and was asking me to enter that. You can find your PUK code at My Verizon. To get your Verizon postpaid or prepaid phone unlocked, all you need to do is: Make sure your Verizon account is active. I thought the phone was asking me to enter (read: create) the password for the SIM card, but nope. Timely that I would decide this morning to try and set up a password for my SIM card. This mistake is costing me a lot of frustration and wasted time.Īpparently, Verizon Wireless today is having some kind of customer service database problems for the past two hours and basically can't do anything. ![]()
